Johari Window

The Johari Window is a communications tool. It is used in a variety of fields as a means of assisting others to become more aware of their selves. This might be considered as a variation of the multiple intelligences in that it permits one to determine where their intelligences fit into each respective window. Follow the links below to obtain more information on this unique additional supplement to the Intelligences. Below are some representative examples with catchy titles.

Hierarchy of Needs

The Hierarchy of Needs comes in the form a pyramid that identifies human needs in an upward sequential structure based upon their importance in daily living. The survival needs are the most basic and at the bottom of the pyramids, while the highest aspirations of abstract thinking and concepts are at the top. The Intelligences are prevalent in each of the Needs levels; they are separated as the needs are within the pyramidal structure. Check out these websites:

Learning Centers

Learning centers are an integral part of the educational environment. They are teacher-created and student-focused “rooms” within a classroom designed around specific themes or concepts that are currently under study or part of the curriculum in the classroom. Learning Centers can be developed for any content area subject and the diversity of activities available are infinite, thus revealing the best quality and quantity of the Intelligences. Structure of Intellect

The Structure of Intellect is a cubical model that proposes 150 factors of intelligence along 15 categories overlaid by a 3-dimensional perspective. The three dimensions of Operations, Products, and Contents are all interwoven and interconnected between and within each of the individualized factors in the model. Although not explicitly stated, the Intelligences are implicitly embedded into the holographic aspect of this model. More information is available at:
